Doll Related --

I've been making hangers for some little Blythe doll dresses.
The Blythe dolls share a room with the 18" dolls.

You can see what we've been up to over at A Dozen Little Dresses.

The House that Moves

The 'house that moves' has moved once again.
We've been organizing all of our doll things this week.

I'm so happy that we decided to make each box an individual structure.
We keep moving things around --
Actually this time we are moving things around and down.
The house is back downstairs.

We've made a guest room into a doll room.

Working on a sewing room...still lots to set up.
Several of the items from Anna's Craft Cottage will be great in this room.
Hoping to add some wall art and graphics this coming week.

Day 8 -- Create a Personalized Shirt

Create a t-shirt for your dolls.
This could be so much fun --
No matter what theme you are exploring with your dolls,
you can make/create a shirt to go with it.

A few years ago when Doll Diaries was holding Camp Doll Diaries,
they offered the logo for printing.

We made t-shirts and bags using their logo for our dolls.
We ran the logo through our computer on iron-on paper.
{The iron-on printables are so easy to create.}
Use the instructions on the iron-on package or look on YouTube for great tutorials.
All you need {in addition to the transfer paper, the image, and help with the iron}
is a simple doll t-shirt.
We've found 18" doll shirts at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's.
{With a 40% off coupon it might be almost as cheap as sewing your own t-shirt.}

If you don't have access to iron-on paper and a computer generated image,
you can use a patch to make an adorable shirt.

When we were planning a trip to Disney we wanted to make a Minnie shirt.
This Minnie patch worked perfectly!

More recently we wanted to make a Jr. Ranger shirt for our national park visits.
{There must not be too many 18" Jr. Rangers out there because the
XXS shirts at the gift shop were still HUGE on our dolls! hee, hee }

The adorable Super Inky was so kind to share her shirt idea with us,
and now we're all set.

Try making a customized shirt for your doll -- the possibilities are endless!
If you don't want to make a shirt, but have a little extra cash to spend, there are many
Etsy shoppe owners that make items for 18" dolls that would be happy to do a custom tee.
You just need to ask around.

Bryce Canyon Adventures

Excited about a woven rug we found for 'the house that moves'.

Earthy colors --

Just the right size for a mat or wall hanging.

Day 7 -- Create a Travel Photo Journal

Day 1 -- Hiked Fairyland Canyon today!
Absolutely beautiful.

Day 2 -- Rainbow View Point

We spent the day earning our 'I hiked the hoodoo' junior ranger badges.

Day 3 -- More spectacular views and a park ranger lecture on Bryce Canyon geology.

Learning about the geology of Bryce Canyon is fascinating!

Create a photo journal of some of your summer days.
Maybe you are on a trip or just having fun in your yard.

Create a photo journal with your dolls {photos above}
like we did on our recent trip to Bryce Canyon.

Day 6 -- Summer Doll Fun -- Summer Travels

We love to visit National Parks.
Next on our list is Bryce Canyon!

A doll {or two} will be joining us on our trip.

Junior Ranger shirts are ready --
time to Explore.Learn.Protect!

Take your doll on a trip this summer --
and document your travels.

Day 5 -- Summer Doll Fun -- Fireworks!

Happy 4th of July Weekend!
Here is another '30 Days of Summer Doll Fun' idea.
Make a 4th of July firework stand!

This idea {and the printables} came from a July 2015 post from
the American Girl Doll Ideas blog...always such fun printables.
We thought it would be a perfect craft for our '30 days of Summer Doll Fun'!

Past days:

The base for our stand is this lemonade stand from Sophia's.
All the other pieces were printed from American Girl Doll Ideas.
{The basket and bin were in our stash of doll supplies.}

Be safe, and
enjoy your fireworks this weekend!

Welcome July!

Big week here with big plans for the 4th of July.
Working a firework stand -- thanks to 'Just Craft It' for the great printables.
We'll show it to you in a couple of days!

Fashion Friday!

I had a helper put this fun outfit together.
{I asked her to find something cute to go with the bag!}
The colored pants arrived in the mail a couple of days ago,
and I was excited to try them on.

Cute outfit!

We are so excited about our 'doll' pocketbook --
We love.love.love Cath Kidston at our house!

One of our doll-loving friends was in London last week and brought this back to us.
If you are interested, it is a keychain -- we just removed the chain and voila,
the perfect doll handbag!

Cheers to Fashion!
Cheers to Fridays!
Cheers to a HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
