4th of July Top

A few days ago we were out shopping and found some darling patterns

by Carina Gardner.  We bought a couple.  Today we had a free hour to get started.

We picked a simple top from the Little Playdate Outfit.

It can also be lengthened to make a darling dress.

We decided to try the top first with some scraps we had.

The pattern has a beautiful little flower embellishment.

For this one we decided to keep it simple.

We think it turned out great -- a fun 4th of July shirt for next month

Doll Diaries Camp 2014 -- Entry 8: Puzzle Necklaces

When we came up with our puzzle theme,

we were so excited to find these colorful little puzzle-piece charms

at Hobby Lobby.

Several charms come on one card, 

so there are plenty for all of our dolls to have a charm {or two}.

They go along great with our cabin theme!

"You are an important piece to the puzzle!"

We were also able to find puzzle fabric in our stash.

Just enough to make pillows and bedding for all the girls!

We are having so much fun this summer!

Doll Diaries Camp2014 -- Entry 7: Mail Center

When we saw this Ladybug Lodge mail center post at Doll Diaries last

month, we knew we had to make a mail center for our doll camp.

You can see that we used cup hooks for hanging keys.

Our mail center is sewn {similar to the one over at Doll Diaries}.

We used a purple straw and cup hooks to hang our mail center.

Such a fun addition to our camp!

Mini keys are key charms from Hobby Lobby.

There are a dozen or so in one bag.

We are focusing on one cabin -- Cabin 11.

Here is the wall that has sign-up information and lost items.

It looks like someone is missing her tote.

Camp Doll Diaries 2014 -- Entry 5: Puzzle Theme & Camp Bedding

The girls are busy writing their scripts.

This week we've been working on bedding for our campers.

We ordered the camp iron-ons from the Doll Diaries Etsy Shoppe.

We put them on a few shirts, bags, and pillows.

We thought it would be fun to have a theme for our camp.

We decided on --

"You are an important piece of the puzzle!"

This summer you'll see us using some 'puzzle pieces' in our doll camp fun.

Doll Diary Camp 2014 -- Entry 3: First Camp Craft

Once the girls registered, there was time for a quick craft. 

While the other campers 

were signing in, the girls decorated white visors with fabric markers.

They can't wait to wear them!
