Sometimes at the end of the year, it is nice look back over
your year, and see your accomplishments and projects.
When we started blogging our doll play back in June of 2013,
we were pretty oblivious to all of the amazing doll resources out there.
We knew about AG dolls -- but all of the other 18 inch dolls were new to us.
Crazy...but true.
We found a few fun blogs and 18 inch doll boards on Pinterest --
but we had no idea how fun the doll community was.
Then we found tutorial videos --
Then we found Doll Diaries --
Polymer clay --
AND SO MUCH MORE!
We've enjoyed playing together,
but we've also enjoyed seeing how people have responded!

So here they are...our most popular posts since we started blogging in June 2013.
10. Recently, we made a great thrift find!
An OG wardrobe in great condition was just sitting in our local thrift store waiting to be found.
When I bought it for $8.00 I had no idea what it was -- but I thought it would
make a perfect design/sewing studio for my girls.
We love costumes and design, and even though we didn't buy anything from the AG 2014 GOY line,
Isabelle's sewing cabinet was definitely inspiration for our Design Co.
There are several posts about our studio -- you'll find them listed in the November 2014 posts.
9. We love crafting at our house, so it just seemed natural to make a Craft Store for our dolls.
It just keeps evolving!
In the photo above, it is decorated for Valentine's Day.
Our shop is named Anna's Craft Cottage.
{The mini skeins of yarn are my personal favorite part of the shoppe!}
8. There are 8 people in our family,
so you can probably imagine appreciate the amount of laundry
there is on any given day at our house.
When we saw the OG laundry room on Pinterest,
it became our quest obsession until we found
one of our own!
We were so excited with how our room turned out --
especially the wood flooring, and a lot of readers/pinners
have shared in our excitement too.

7. Lighting is a fun part of designing a dollhouse, but we aren't electricians,
so I was super excited to find chandelier locker lights at Toys R Us, and
puck lighting at Lowe's Home Improvement.
Since we started blogging, we now see all kinds of fun lighting options.
But as beginners, we were thrilled with the lighting options we discovered on our own.
6. Who doesn't love Disney World/Disneyland?
I can't believe how fun it was when we found these ears at Tuesday Morning
just before our own trip to see THE MOUSE.
A lot of you {and Pinterest pinners} thought the same thing.
{If I had a dollar for every time this photo has been looked at,
I could buy Tyson Ice Cream Parlor,
Grace's entire set -- including the Partisserie, and still have plenty of money
for a rainy day!}
5. Since moving in during the summer of 2013 our dolls' house has been under the stairs,
in a bedroom, and in 2014 it will be moving downstairs to a new location.
The thing we love about our house?
The fact that it is movable!
Each room is an individual room.
Perfect for people like us who like to move.
{We've lived in 9 different houses.}
We can move this house a box at a time, and arrange it any way we like!
**Something to think about if you are making your own dollhouse.
4. I have to be honest and say that as much as we love AG dolls,
we are slow to spend a lot of money on the accessories.
We like to wait for clearance sales and shop thrift finds.
Sometimes the best doll play is when I create something for my girls,
or we work on something together. The above sewing cabinet was our 9th post.
It was so much fun to make a place for our sewing supplies.
We love it, and it can be seen serving other purposes --
like this side table in the background of our Christmas scene.
3. We've used 'human' shoe storage options for all kinds of toy storage.
{Our Barbie collection is in an over-the-door shoe organizer at this very moment.}
One day when we were walking through TJMAXX we
saw this jewelry organizer. To us, it looked better suited as an AG doll shoe organizer!
Our 3rd post back in 2013, and it is still one of the most popular.
2. Our School Room was one of our first projects. It is made out of a tri-fold board.
It has been viewed a few thousand times!
For a little blog like ours, that has been pretty exciting.
{I think this little section is one of the reasons the room is such a hit!}
1. Our dollhouse bathroom is the top viewed post on An American Girl at Play.
I think mainly because of our sink -- which requires only gluing [no wood to be cut].
Or it might be the reversible tub/shower curtain -- we like to switch things up at our house.
We've had a lot of fun creating this bathroom.
In fact, our most recent addition
was part of our 2014 Christmas Doll Advent {it starts here}.
