We love Lea Clark and her fruit stand.
Everything is great -- storage, fun pieces, lots of details.
Unique food options -- Really such a fabulous piece.
Some people have been frustrated that there are no chairs.
In my opinion, the countertop outside is perfect -
the height indicates that the idea is to stand at the counter, not sit --
so we are totally fine with that...no chair needed.
What we don't understand however is the blender/smoothie issue.
As we were setting up the fruit stand, Little Miss commented on the blender.
The blender is one of the cutest accessories, and clearly the idea is to play with the blender.
The sign advertises smoothies, so clearly smoothies were part of the fruit stand concept.
But where do you put the blended fruits?
She wanted to know, and actually, I wanted to know too.
THERE IS NOT a smoothie/cup to be found in the set -- not one.
We found this a little odd.
The first few minutes of setting up Little Miss commented on how cute the set would have
been if they had included a couple of smoothies/tropical drinks.
{Something as simple as the berry smoothies found in the campus snack cart.}
The fruit stand is a beautiful set -- but they could have nailed it with a couple of smoothies.
As we talked about it, we thought it would be interesting to understand the production process.
What makes the cut -- Was there someone in production thinking about smoothies?
Did someone with more authority said no?
I know this isn't really a big deal -- first world problem for sure,
but it sure would be so interesting to know the behind-the-scene happenings.
Does AG consult 6-12 year old girls to get their feedback?
Do girls play with the products before they go into full production?
So many questions!
**Update -- We called AG and they forwarded our question to the production department.
I'm not sure that we will ever get a response, but it was nice to get a little information.
I love that Little Miss is always thinking --
The gal I talked with couldn't have been nicer about Little Miss and her observation.
She thought smoothies should have absolutely been included in the set.
