We've seen several reviews on the Seaside Diner --
We thought it would be fun to add our thoughts.
We love Maryellen. I explained here why she would be added to our collection.
We bought our diner with a 25% off coupon that we had --
{and we used money that we had saved up over the summer}.
Things we love:
We love the colors, the booth, the bar seating, the table, and the grill in the back.
We love how compact the set is, and the attention to detail is true to AG.
The way the set is constructed, you can move the wall around --
three or four girls can easily play with it at the same time.
It is such a fun set!
Things we wish:
You can't help but look at the AG set and wish that it had more food -- and looked more real than plastic. Especially if you've seen the OG set, they could have done a little better on the food.
If you've seen the OG set, you know it comes with SO MUCH FOOD and it has the little jukebox that plays. AG made a jukebox too, but you'd have to spend $95 dollars to add it to your Seaside Diner. It would have been so easy to do something like OG did, and have the jukebox part of the diner. We wish AG had made a real phone in their diner set. -- it is just a sticker.
A chalkboard would have also been nice.
Those are our thoughts --
but having said all of that, both of the diners are fun and both are used
all the time at our house!
We're inspired by all of the people who are painting their OG sets --
just not sure if we will ever get to that project, but it is so fun to see what can be done.
